PMI aims for a manufacturing network that is fully integrated and synchronized into the end-to-end operations ecosystem, from suppliers all the way to consumers. With this remit, PMI’s Global Manufacturing function brought to life Manufacturing of the Future (MoF)– once a program, now a system, that sets the direction for what Manufacturing will look like in years down the road.
MoF aims to increase performance stability, and site and supply chain agility through a focus on organization, competences, technology, and digital maturity.
The session will focus on:
Alessio Preti, Director Industrial Strategy & SAM at Philip Morris International, is a leader that has built his 20+ years career in the areas of Engineering, Manufacturing and Business, both in the automotive (Ferrari S.p.A) and tobacco industries. Among several milestones, he has delivered the construction and start-up of a greenfield with more than 2.000 employees, development of Digital Transformation roadmap in a multinational environment with more than 40 production centers and design and deployment of operations processes and organization for a new commercial category of products.
Alessio holds a degree in Management Engineering from University of Bologna, and a Lean Manufacturing Management certification from CUOA Business School. He is a certified coach of Total Productive Maintenance by Japanese of Institute of Planned Maintenance.
What motivates me every day is to be part of a global community willing to challenge the status quo and improve the world we live in.
I love challenging contexts, where conditions are changing daily and where our analytical thinking and out-of-the-box mindset can make the difference.
What moves me is the passion to have an objective to achieve, but the way to get it is not yet clear: designing the road of success gives me the energy to go and push beyond the limits and, in the end, deliver results.
