By implementing full traceability, no-touch-automation and automated data flows, we can follow each individual item in time and space in our internal process flow using dedicated applications. This includes very detailed information from every process step in our internal production providing deep insight into the connection between product properties and processes/materials, all in an iteratively fashion, also including immediate notifications when deviations are detected, from e.g., smart analytics in terms of MVDA and/or ML/AI. We can for example monitor the energy consumption of each individual item in our whole production chain, not only historically, but in real time. This will of course enable us to also track energy consumption on order or machine level, enabling new optimization opportunities and raise awareness in energy consumption (/waste) in a broader sense. Since we also have full traceability all the way back to the raw materials used in the production process, we can also determine the exact chemical content of every product (even if you would find e.g., one random item on the floor) thereby enabling an efficient recycling process!
After ten years in the Academic Society, nine years in the Automotive Industry, and another seven years in the Cemented Carbide Industry, Micael Baudin has acquired the necessary tools to manage a strategic role. He combines his experience in research and development of products and services from both academic and industrial perspectives with his solid knowledge in material science and operations technology. Additionally, he demonstrates the ability to initiate, manage, and successfully complete projects within specified timeframes.
The Pop in my job:
Being a complete nerd when it comes to automating data flows and data analytics, it is an absolute joy to be part of the digital transformation journey, driving the development and implementation of principles, policies, process and procedures, managing the back-end building blocks of the data platform, as well as developing applications to aid in the decision making for all roles in the company. It is also important that this work has a clear connection to improvements in the environment, energy utilization or sustainability globally.
